Like to see the roads fixed. Born and raised here. The schools seemed to have improved and downtown got a face lift so it is looking good.

Overall a decent city, not much night life outside of going to a few bars, the beaches are decent as well, but not much entertainment when you go.

I would give Lorain zero stars. This is a horrible place to live. There are no jobs available, the housing is so run down that every home has become dilapidated, and the city imposes BRUTAL taxes which then enforce with the use of local law enforcement, and threats of prison time.

Lorain is a relatively poor city with a small population. There's plenty of places to go within 15 miles and jobs come easily enough, even during a pandemic, but it feels unsafe to live in sadly and feels more like a city to live in if you cannot afford something more.

Lorain is affordable and you can find jobs here. It isn’t the nicest city and there isn’t many stores. However you can live comfortably and safely.

lorain and Their water department are straight up crooks and they rub it on your face every month with a high rate inaccurate water bill! People have been complaining for YEARS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! I will be selling my rental properties and the home I live in because of this, renters are struggling and moving out of town because this! Investors as well. Even if you buy a house in the nicer areas it’s not worth dealing with crooks.

Lorain is a struggling community with staggering poverty rates, high crime, failing public schools and a lack of sustainable employment, affordable housing, and public transportation. However the citizens of Lorain are resourceful and there are many agencies and programs throughout the city that help to alleviate some of the issues caused by poverty. Lorain also is working hard on revitalizing the downtown area. Lorain is blessed with parks in nearly every neighborhood and an amazing beach!

The diversity in lorain sets everyone up well for working with different cultures. We’re not a perfect community. Though, the different cultures and support this community gives is pretty great. We are a community susceptible to lots of violence, but we try to be there for one another.

Lorain is a city with a lot of good decent people, but struggles economically. This city was working hard with its Lorain Pride movement, right before this coronavirus situation upended everyone. I hope they can recover and work back to helping this town become a better place to live.

Lorain is a very diverse city, that is great for new opportunities. The public school system is not very good though and it can unfortunately be pretty violent at times.

I like the diversity of the Lorain. It's a small city, and everyone kind of knows everyone. The crime rates in Lorain seem to be increasing, especially with high schoolers. That's one thing I would like to change. I would also like to change some of the high schools academics, so we wouldn't be graded badly amongst other cities.

lorain, Built on the west bank of Lake Erie and the mouth of the Black River. Forged in steel and rubber, it's history left far behind keeping a certain unique charm. Abandon by the great tycoons who built great machines and factories only to be left empty, along with the community fighting for a purpose and a way to feed the economy once again. Looking for Rejuvenation in the young arts and entertainment that sets excitement in the city and a future for the ones who won't have a the great steel to help build their lives.

the city has made great improvements to the down town area, while making the lake fronts cleaner and safer for resident and those that enjoy the lake. There are many places for entertainment available most are free or of little cost. Which is cool

I have lived in Lorain my whole life!! (50+ years). I have lived in alot of different areas of Lorain. Lorain has changed alot in the years. Some good, some bad, but Lorain is diverse, people care about each other and I have always felt comfortable here. Lorain city schools need some help, but they are always working towards making it better. There are jobs out there. Just need to look. The only crimes I have ever had committed against me were outside of Lorain. Lorain has alot of potential and I can see us moving toward realizing that potential. YAY Lorain!!!!!!!

I have lived in Lorain for 18 years. This is my home. Although it is not the greatest place right now, I believe it is making a comeback. There are many new businesses opening up in Lorain!

Lorain is a very family friendly city surrounded by rural suburbs that host some of the best festivals around. From North Ridgevilles corn fest to Elyria apple fest the spring summer and fall host a variety of events for everyone all ages. Located thirty minutes West of Cleveland and thirty minutes East of Sandusky rather a sporting event or an amusem*nt park is your interest you can always find something to do.

I like Lorain location. Not to far from anything but also not too busy. I'd like better bike lanes and easier public transportation in the future. Overall I'm satisfied with my location especially being in a neighborhood were I feel safe around my neighbors.

The public schools of Lorain are low in funding. The city has a relatively high crime rate. However, I have never seen a more diverse town in my life. There is someone from every corner of the earth here.
