How to use OTC with Aetna at CVS online? ›

Order online

Go online at CVS.com/otchs/myorder to log in or register for an account. If it's your first time, you'll need to register for an online account using your Aetna® member ID number and your email. You'll see your OTC benefit amount and items that are available for you to order.

To place an order through the Benefits Pro app, scan the QR code using your smartphone. Or search “Benefits Pro” on the App Store® or Google Play™ store. You can use the benefit allowance to buy certain OTC products in store.

The benefit lets you get over-the-counter items by going to any allowed stores. You can also order by phone at 1-888-628-2770 (TTY: 711) Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 8 PM local time or online at https://www.cvs.com/benefits. You order from a list of approved items, and it will be sent to your address.

How do I know if I can use my OTC benefit card on a specific item? To confirm item eligibility, call your OTC plan provider at the number listed on the back of your card.

Visit the App Store or GooglePlay and search OTC Network to download the latest version of the OTC Network Mobile App. The app is right at your fingertips, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Add your 19-digit Care Card number and last four digits of your member ID to get started with creating your account.

Your OTC benefit helps you save money on a wide range of over-the-counter health and wellness products. You can use your benefit amount to purchase products such as pain relief, first aid, cold and allergy medicine, dental care items and more.

Medicare Advantage OTC benefits are offered by most Medicare Advantage plans. The benefit is an allowance to purchase certain OTC items you'd get at a drugstore. It works a little like a health savings account (HSA), the popular tax-advantaged account that lets you pay for many personal health care costs.

Beginning January 1, 2024, subscribers enrolled in an Aetna CVS Health Individual and Family Plan will now have up to a $100 annual allowance, or $25/quarter, for over-the-counter CVS Health® brand products at CVS retail stores and online — from pain relievers and cold medicine to bandages and more.

Aetna beneficiaries with select Medicare Advantage plans have OTC (over-the-counter) benefits. These plans provide an Aetna Medicare Payment card through PayFlex. With this card, you can pay for over-the-counter health and wellness products.

The OTC benefit — a common ingredient of Medicare Advantage plans⁴ — means funds to spend at pharmacies for OTC products. It might come as an OTC card you can use at participating retail stores. With this coverage, you receive a certain dollar amount per year, per quarter or per month. (It varies by plan.)

OTC items are not eligible for reimbursem*nt if they are normally used for general health, are not used to treat a medical condition (e.g. toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, shampoo) or are cosmetic in nature (e.g. teeth whitening products, wrinkle reducers). See additional examples in the OTC Chart.

Items that do not qualify include non-food and pet items, alcohol, baby formula, candy, chips, coffee shop items, desserts, fresh baked goods, soda, and tobacco. To check if an item is approved, members can download the Healthy Benefits Plus app, scan the product and it will advise if item is allowable.

Approved items include fruits & vegetables, meats, dairy & more.

Your OTC benefit can be used once throughout the month i you use the home delivery service, that is, i you orderby phone or online. However, you can use your benefit unlimited times at any OTCHS-enabled CVS Pharmacy during the month.

Select the payment method under Pay with. Select OTC or healthy food card under Add payment method. Enter your OTC Network card number and any other required information and select Save. Toggle your OTC Network benefit under Saved benefits to apply it to your order.
